Here’s something you won’t hear from most transportation companies: private airport transportation isn’t for everyone. We’re fine with that.
We’d rather tell you plainly whether we’re the right fit than talk you into something you’ll resent paying for.
We’re probably not your answer if…
- Your only goal is the absolute lowest cost of getting to the airport
- You live close to the airport and don’t mind parking
- You enjoy the drive and don’t mind the long trip home after your flight
- A friend or family member is happy to take you, and you’re happy to owe them one
All of those are perfectly good choices. They’re just not the product we sell.
We’re probably exactly right if…
- You’d rather land and be met at the curb than go looking for your car
- You don’t want your vehicle sitting unattended at an airport for days
- You’re not interested in hauling luggage through a parking deck or shuttle lot
- You don’t want to drive mountain roads in the dark after a long travel day
- Your time before and after a trip is worth more to you than the drive
- You’re traveling with family, a group, or a lot of luggage
- You’re visiting the High Country and don’t know the roads
Different products, different buyers
A steakhouse dinner and a drive-thru burger are both beef, and both will feed you. Nobody calls the steakhouse a rip-off because the drive-thru is cheaper. They understand it’s a different experience made for a different moment.
Private chauffeured transportation works the same way. When you book it, you’re paying for a professional driver, the vehicle, fuel in both directions, commercial insurance, maintenance, depreciation, and the return trip after we drop you off, so that none of it becomes your problem.
Our honest position
A private airport transfer is not supposed to compete with driving yourself or asking a friend for a favor. You are buying convenience, reliability, time, and freedom from the stress and expense that come with getting yourself to and from the airport. If your only priority is the lowest possible price, private transportation probably is not the right product. But that does not make professional transportation overpriced.
If you’re weighing it up, run the honest math first. Add up your fuel, vehicle wear, parking and time, and compare that to our fare, not to zero. Our guides Don’t Compare Our Fare to Zero and Self-Drive vs. Airport Transfer Service walk you through it.
If what you want is to land, be met, and be driven, that’s exactly what we do. Request your airport transfer.
Traveling on a budget?
The Blue Ridge Shared Ride Connection matches High Country travelers headed to the same airport on the same day, so you can split the cost of a professionally driven private ride. Built for App State and Lees-McRae students, and open to anyone 18+ in the High Country.
